In visual arts together during middle school, Jana evolved into a dear friend I still keep in frequent touch with since she transferred schools. Passionate about social issues that occur in our society and involved in Model UN, Jana is a powerful, strong, and independent young woman – an inspiration to girls. Fearlessly, she voices and advocates for gender equity and cultural awareness with me for Merely a World Away. Again, I endeavored to commemorate the beauty of feminine power while portraying the bright future we girls possess!
